Enrique Zervin was born at a time of personal crisis. I found myself in a state where my passion for my profession, which is artistic creation, was clouded by "spiritual darkness." How many of us haven't felt this way, doing what we are good at, but ceasing to enjoy it, or how many of us are doing something we are not passionate about?
However, I was aware that the only way to find my path was to rely on my talents. So I kept painting until one day I encountered a true challenge: depicting a majestic, sublime, and perfect horse. As I painted the horse's structure, its muscles, its gaze, etc., I delved into that process, discovering that in the horse there was something deeper, something not visible at first glance; it was more than an animal; it was the strength I thought I didn't have to move forward, and within this peace, I could observe that in the horse were all the virtues that the human soul aspires to possess.
In this way, the horse became my work, a symbol of overcoming challenges, inspiration, loyalty, discipline, among others.
Thus, each of my works becomes a mirror reflecting the human spirit and all that we are capable of achieving.
In omens, it is said that if you encounter a horse in nature, in dreams, it is interpreted as a sign that "you will soon be free from the bonds that hold you." This is how I reflect my work in dreams, to transmit a message that ultimately frees us from our fears and frustrations.
